Thousands of people contributed to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation on Sunday October 4th 2009. With the help of my team members, and other participants from CIBCs Run for the Cure, this video was shot! I am using this video as part of my Much Music VJ 2.0 audition so please vote 5 stars for both Hot & Cool @ vj.muchmusic.com Some facts on Breast Cancer & the Run: • The Run is the largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event in Canada dedicated to breast cancer research and support. • 2009 is the 18th annual Run, and on Sunday, October 4th, Canadians in 56 communities from Victoria, British Columbia to St. Johns, Newfoundland will participate by walking or running either 1k or 5k. • Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women. • In 2009, an estimated 22700 women in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer. On average, that is about 437 women diagnosed every week. • Last year, 170000 participants walked or ran to raise $28.5 million nationally for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs.
